Our Academy sessions not only encompass acting, but also stage management, lighting, sound, and more. Each academy will be accepting a limited number of students. To be added to the list, please email email@example.com. The play titles will be announced on March 1.
Our Introductory Session is for those thespians that are beginning to learn the craft of theater and performing arts. Students with three years or more of experience may register for our Advanced or Musical Sessions. Each session culminates in a production and performances are held on the final Friday of each session. Times for each session are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and students must plan to bring a lunch and snack each day.

Academy Coordinator: Taylor Marun
Our 2017 Academy Coordinator is Taylor Marun. Queens born and Long Island bred, Taylor has been working in New York for the past 5 years. New York Off-Broadway Stage Management credits include: Sayonara, Film Chinois (Pan Asian Repertory Theatre); The Underclassman, Tamar of the River, Working (Drama Desk Award Best Ensemble, and Nominee for Best Revival Musical), and Iron Curtain (Prospect Theater Company); The Long Shrift (dir. James Franco), The Correspondent (Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre); rogerandtom (Personal Space Theatrics); and In Bed with Roy Cohn (Perry Street Theatricals). Regional credits include: 42nd Street (Mill Mountain Theatre, Roanoke); Oh, What A Lovely War (Kansas City Actors Theatre); Around the World in 80 Days (Kansas City Repertory Theatre). Taylor received her BA in Theatre from Hollins University before going on to get her MFA in Stage Management from University of Missouri – Kansas City. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

HOW TO REGISTER:
Forms must be mailed or dropped off to the theater one week prior to the desired academy. We suggest checking availability as the time gets closer. If the office is locked, please leave your form and deposit in the mailbox outside of the door.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you are applying for a scholarship, a payment of $50 as a retainer via check is required to reserve your spot in the academy. If you are not applying for a scholarship, but enrolling in academy, applicants are required to at least pay a $50 retainer with their form to reserve their spot. Applicants are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and academy spaces are limited.
